The Heureka Bridge, Located in Tikkurila, Vantaa, Finland, was built in 1990. This bicycle and pedestrian bridge crosses the Kerava River and was recently reinvigorated with a new paint job, a spectacular lighting system and a lighting control system based on Visual Productions' CueCore3.
During the Reflektor Vantaa event, the lighting celebrated the bridge's constructivist architecture as a work of art. The colors and movement of light highlighted the bridge's structural elements. The colors were strong and contrasting, while the movement reflected the mechanical
rhythm of a machine. The work was a collaboration with Ramboll Valostudio and the City of Vantaa.
The art piece was created by Ramboll's architectural lighting team and programmed by Juha Hälikkä using CueCore3 to control all lights. Juha also did this impressive Director's Cut.
