Embedded Software Engineer

As we continue to grow and expand our product offerings, we are seeking a talented and motivated Embedded Software Engineer to join our exceptional team.

As an Embedded Software Engineer at Visual Productions BV, you will play a key role in the design, development, and optimization of our embedded systems. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with cross-functional teams to create reliable, efficient, and high-performance firmware that powers our innovative products. You will work closely with hardware engineers, firmware developers, and other software engineers to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement embedded software for our lighting controllers
Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system requirements and specifications
Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code for various embedded platforms
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software to ensure quality and reliability
Optimize system performance and memory usage to meet stringent requirements
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in the embedded domain
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality
Work closely with the tech-support team to support software testing and resolve any issues
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in embedded software development

Requirements:

Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience in embedded software development, preferably C/C++ & ARM-Cortex
Solid understanding of microcontrollers, microprocessors, and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
Experience with hardware-software integration and debugging
Familiarity with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, etc
Knowledge of low-level hardware interfaces and peripherals
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Experience with version control systems (e.g., GIT) and Agile development methodologies is a plus
Proficient in English (Dutch is not required)
Living in the Netherlands or within the EU and willing to relocate
