The QuadCore is a new solid-state lighting controller in the CueCore family. It features 2,048 DMX channels across 4 DMX outputs. The onboard flash memory allows for storing DMX shows. Playback can be fully automated and triggered by various IP based protocols. The QuadCore is bundled with the CueluxPro software-based lighting control desk.
The QuadCore includes a 4-universe license of CueluxPro. Larger universe numbers are achieved by stacking more QuadCores. Targeted at channel hungry projects that typically involve pixel mapping, the QuadCore reduces the cost per DMX universe in a CueluxPro installation.
The onboard flash memory has capacity to store numerous dynamic DMX shows or static lighting scenes. DMX shows can be downloaded from CueluxPro or recorded from DMX, Art-Net or sACN. Several shows can playback simultaneously and independently from each other. Each playback can be configured with various options like Delay-Time, Fade-Time, Looping, LTP, HTP, Priority, etc. This flexibility allows the QuadCore to be driving different lighting-zones within one project.
Events in the QuadCore can be scheduled according to an agenda function that features weekdays, date, time, sunrise, sunset and daylight saving time. The QuadCore features a battery backed up Real-Time Clock (RTC). It also supports a time protocol (NTP) to synchronise with a time server over the internet/network.
Multi Protocol Triggers
The QuadCore can be triggered through various protocols that include DMX, Art-Net, sACN, KiNet, UDP, TCP, OSC and HTML. When used in combination with the CueCore2 or IoCore2 then protocols like MIDI, MTC, SMPTE, RS-232, dry contacts and 0-10V are possible as well.
Playback of the lighting shows stored inside the QuadCore can be synchronized via timecode.
The QuadCore supports IP based Art-Net timecode directly. Physical timecode protocols like SMPTE and MTC are supported via the CueCore and TimeCore.
Multiple QuadCores can easily be used together in stand alone playback. Only the master QuadCore needs to have its triggers and scheduling programmed. The slave QuadCores will automatically follow.
The QuadCore can also function as a 4-universe Ethernet to DMX node. It supports Art-Net and sACN. It can also convert the other way around, DMX to Ethernet.
The QuadCore can merge incoming data from DMX, Art-Net and sACN. The merging behavior can be defined by setting the HTP, LTP or Priority options. The incoming data can also be combined with the playback of internal shows.
The Show Control editor also allows for powerful protocol conversions between any physical port, like DMX or MIDI and any Ethernet based protocol like Art-Net or OSC.
For the ultimate stand-alone playback, the QuadCore is compatible with the Kiosc app. Kiosc is a cross-platform (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android) touch screen user-interface. In the QuadCore you can program any combination of buttons and faders that will be available to the operators using Kiosc. Kiosc is password protected to insure minimum support or maintenance is required, especially where the interface is for use by the public or non-technical users.
