Trance Energy 2009
Trance Energy is one of Europe's leading dance events. Show organizer ID&T again managed to gather 30.000 people in the Jaarbeurs venue in Utrecht, NL.
One of the 4 areas was fitted with 1.472 LED Parcans from Belgium supplier Pixelscreen. Two Canvix systems were selected to control the LEDs that were broken up into two matrix arrangements.
The Canvix matrix servers were controlled by the matrix operator through VisualTouch for quick content selection and a MIDI control surface for hands-on fader control. Master intensities and final colour schemes were controlled by the main operator's Road Hog over DMX.
Awakenings 2009
Technoparty Awakenings was helt on Valentines Day in Eindhoven, NL. Lighting software from Visual Productions controlled the 'Minimalistic' area, one of three stages during the event.
Two Canvix matrix servers were deployed, one to control the 640 LED Parcans rigged into the ceiling and another Canvix for several halogen Active Suntrips that were used for blinder effects. Brand new lighting controller Cuelux was dedicated to controlling the other lights in the rig, a collection of High End Technobeams, Martin Atromic strobes and various dimmer racks.
Canvix and Cuelux were supplied by PGP.
Lotelles' LED Disco Dance Floors
UK manufacturer Lotelle Ltd specializes in the design and manufacture of 1970's style LED dance floors.
For these 3 installations Lotelle choose Canvix to control their floors. Coupled with VisualTouch, the fool-proof touch screen interface, they provided a user friendly operation that allowed their customers to have fun with patterns and graphics on their dance floors.
SBS Television
Manufacturer of broadcast and TV/Film production equipment, Thomson Grass Valley, approached Visual Productions with a special request: to extend their Ignite studio control-room automation system with a DMX-512 communication interface. Ignite already automates robotic cameras, audio, auto-cue and media content and was specified in the upgrade of the news-studio of Dutch television station SBS. The added DMX-512 interface would enable Ignite to also take control of the studio’s lighting.
