SBS Television
Manufacturer of broadcast and TV/Film production equipment, Thomson Grass Valley, approached Visual Productions with a special request: to extend their Ignite studio control-room automation system with a DMX-512 communication interface. Ignite already automates robotic cameras, audio, auto-cue and media content and was specified in the upgrade of the news-studio of Dutch television station SBS. The added DMX-512 interface would enable Ignite to also take control of the studio’s lighting.
Microsoft DevDays 2008
During the Microsoft DevDays 2008 (an annual meeting of software developers focused on Microsoft technology) in the Amsterdam RAI convention centre, an event called the ‘Geek Night Supershow’ was presented by VXcompany.
This show featured the Wii-mote, the movement sensitive game controller for the Nintento Wii console, and a 3 by 3 meter LED wall. Demonstrating the usage of various software technologies the presenters showed the Wii-mote controlling the pixels of the LED wall, triggering colour patterns and even, with audience participation, playing computer games like Pong.
Key to the communication between the Wii-mote and the LED wall was a Canvix system with one DMX Output. The software developers utilized Visual Productions' API to interface their own Wii-mote software to Canvix.
The Visual Productions API is public and is discussed in the ‘Developer Manual’ available from the download page.

They positioned 10 pieces of 7000W Xenon Biglites throughout the city center, each controlled by a Visual Productions’ Elite.
