TDE Lightech supplied Canvix to the Holland Casino in Rotterdam. Canvix controls via art-net 8 universes of RGB LEDs in a ceiling above the new slot machine area of the casino. The pixel mapper renders various different moods on the LED matrix and responds whenever a jackpot is hit. Our ethernet based API is used for the communication between Canvix and the slot machine management system. The graphical content is created by Moment Factory from Canada.
We joined Full AVL Distribution and DTS on their stand at the biennial Dutch tradeshow for theater and stage technology 'Theater vakbeurs'. During the three days in Rotterdam we showed the latest releases of Cuelux, VisualDMX and Canvix lighting control software.
UK based 70’s style dance-floor manufacturer Lotelle are currently involved in a series of installations for their new Boogie Booth.
The concept is a private area within a larger club where VIP’s can hire their own seating area and private dance floor. The dance floor can then be controlled by the visitors via the Let’s Boogie control panel to choose their own style of lighting to reflect their mood.
The main concert hall in 'De Doelen' in Rotterdam (NL) underwent a major refurbishment that included a brand new lighting rig and control system. VisualDMX has been selected for controlling the house lights, stage lighting and LED fixtures throughout the hall. Key to this installation was the use of VisualTouch to allow stage staff to operate the lights in a user-friendly fashion, letting them choose from various predefined presets, whilst the house technicians can still access a more detailed set of controls.
The control system uses two Duple units connected to a small form factor PC running VisualDMX 24/7. Two separate touch screen computers run the VisualTouch software for remote controlling VisualDMX via the network.
The VisualDMX system was supplied by Controllux Lichttechniek.
Light artist Tamar Frank designed an installation 'Salacia' for the watertower in Middelkerke-Westende (Belgium). This installation was part of the temporary Beaufort03 art-project from 28-03-2009 to 04-10-2009, after which the local government decided to keep the installation in the tower. The lighting sequences play from an Elite. It controls 30 LED fixtures lighting the roof of the tower and 24 LED fixtures lighting the windows from inside.
