Visual Productions' new distributor for Mexico is the company Led4Skys. The director, Ricardo Flores is a man familiar to many in the nightclub industry with his designs and installations becoming legendary not only in Mexico but also world-wide. As a lighting designer working in the 1970's Flores specialized in using the latest, innovative equipment in the development of sound and lighting for the club industry. Today his designs reflect his on-going dedication to taking club installations into a new dimension with the use of innovative, interactive equipment.
Recently Led4Skys finished their first installation using the Visual Productions lighting control products. The project was for the Night club, Dady'O. Located in the centre of Cancun, Mexico, Dady'O is one of the most popular dance clubs in the world.
Flores created a new design and build for the sound booth and also the remodel of the ceiling with a LED installation. Thus complementing and bringing up to date his initial design and installation from 25 years ago.
Luis Angel, Led4Skys technical installation specialist, choose to use the Visual Productions products in order to enhance the interaction possibilities via the CueCore's multi-protocol availability. Angel used CueluxPro software to program the venue and allow for a complete matrix and moving light control system to be accessible via one console. 2 CueCore's (4 universe) were installed and the CueluxPro software runs on a iMac system with the added usage of a Korg keyboard to give actual faders and buttons.
The clubs innovative approach has led to repeated success over the years, boasting that: “Dady'O magical atmosphere heightens the senses with state- of-the-art lighting and sound and enticing music played by the best DJ's around”. Flores stated that he found “this new opportunity to use this kind of intuitive software bought a fresh approach to controlling my light design. One that provided us with easy and innovative solutions, different and better to all other common softwares on the market.”
Lighting Designer, Michael Hallbert collaborated with Swedish design & installation company Luxlight on the recent Kista Trafikplats E4/E18 project just outside of Stockholm. This is where two bridges have been built at the largest interchange in Stockholm, running from North–East and South-East forming a T that can be seen from space. Visual Productions' CueCores were utilized to control the lighting.
Installation and programming was carried out by Patric Nord from Luxlight. Nord choose to use the CueCore as he required a Solid-state solution that integrated a schedular. He choose to use the inclusive CueluxPro software suite for programming the CueCores. This choice was so that he would easily be able to incorporate movements or matrix control onsite if Hallbert would so wish. In the end the dramatic lighting design was simply achieved with static scenes dumped from CueluxPro into the CueCores. The recorded memory was triggered by the CueCores Astronomical Clock:
- Lights on 1 hour before sunset
- Lights off 1 hour after sunrise
- Summer & winter time calculated by the CueCore set for the GPS coordinates of the bridges
2 CueCores were used – one for each bridge with a total of 400 LED channels per bridge. The Bridges are 300 meters apart so it was better for 2 separate systems to be installed as laying fiber optics would have proved too costly for the project and a wifi network maybe less reliable. The RGB light fixtures, X-line Color and VaioLED RGB 2S IP67 were all mounted behind 30cm thick glass. This gives Hallbert's design a beautiful waterlike translucency to the facade.

Visual Productions have appointed Qeytek Ltd as their new distributor for the UK market. The first joint venture for the two companies was during a wonderful few days at the PLASA Focus Leeds last month.
Qeytek a specialist distribution company was founded in 2012 by industry known Cally Bacchus, and with the recent appointment of Paul Turner joining the young company and experienced team, the Dutch manufacturer are confident that the technical sales and support knowledge on the range of software and hardware products are in capable hands.

Also on show were the architectural range including the solid-state Cuecore for installation, rental and museum markets. Working alongside each other on the stand, manufacturer and distributor were able to see well how the product line from Visual Productions compliments the distribution focus that Qeytek have to this market. Networking and product demonstrations alike made for a very busy and enjoyable show, consolidating this new partnership for the UK market.
Zoe Castle Sales Manager of Visual Productions explains her choice with Qeytek: "We were looking for a pure distribution company, one that had the experience, expertise and drive to take our product to the market. Local technical expertise is always required particularly in large installation projects and with Turner on board we felt his ability, enthusiasm and open nature ideal to supporting our products. Bacchus' skill and dedication to expanding the company to become a specialist in key distribution lines gives us the reassurance that our products will always be given the attention required to support their use by customers throughout the UK."
Cally Bacchus, Director of Qeytek states of his decision to distribute Visual Productions on the UK market "Qeytek has a clear and passionate focus to represent current technology products for the entertainment industry and to fully support those products into the market.
