Hi,

I’m in need to update a showcontrol in a musem.
It is a timeline based show in which we need to start audio and videoplayers (rs232), 24 ch dmx and some relays.

I was thinking to use the timecore as timeline programnmer and the iocore would do the dmx, rs232 and the relays. (Actions)
Does this make sense to use the tgimecore and the iocore in this cinfiguration?
I would like to know what protocol would be the best to use between the timecore and the iocore, so the timecore could trigger the actions on the iocore?

Thanks.

Gilles

Hello Gillekes,

TimeCore can read and generate timecode. It is also capable of triggering actions on specific timecodes. Which will allow you to send UDP or OSC messages to the IoCore. Both will work. Then in the IoCore you can control the GPO (relays), RS232 and DMX.

I would like to ask what you are trying to create. As there is a limited amount of actions and task in both TimeCore and IoCore. Which limits you to 48 timecode triggers. If that is enough I do not see any problem with this plan.

I hope that this information was helpful.

Best regards,
Guido
