Hellow,

I was wondering if anybody can help me with putting the Showtec expression 5000 in sound function on the dmx basic function.
I was trying to use the stand alone function but that isn't working.

Please help me:)

Thats a pity.

Hellow, Maybe there is a mistake. The expression has 2 optics on dmx: 9 or 12 channels. I have found the manual:

http://hosting.avplus.nl/handleidingen/Showtec%20Expression%205000.pdf

Probably it is a new version? Showtec Expression 5000 V2?

Thks a lot.

this is the manual i use to set the fixture file, but it appears that it doesn't fit with your fixture.
I really don't know how to help you more?

Post the DMX Table of your Fixture on the forum then its possible to create a fixture file for your problem, seems that you have another version of Fixture, as everyone just finds a othert manual on the net.
I5 Quadcore, 16GB RAM, Win 10, BCF2000 Launchpad aaaaand Cuelux -------> BIG Show

i've just checked your manual, it fits the one i used to check the file before.
on the manual the sound to light fonction is on chanel 9 value between 180 and 189. and this is exactly what is set in the fixture file, so i don't know what i can do more for you... :-\

I've used my expression 5000's with Cuelux before. After a reinstall I tried to load a show I've had backed up, but I ran into addressing errors.

In my old .xml showfile an expression in advanced mode takes up 12 channels.

In the new installation an expression in advanced mode uses 13 channels.

The official documentation is unclear: the highlite website says 9-13 channels (http://www.highlite.nl/nl/Shop/Products/Showtec/Lighteffects/Movingheads/Expression-5000).

But as it seems there has been a change in the firmware, or an error in one of the manuals. The V1 manual (http://www.highlite.nl/nl/silver.download/Documents@extern@Manuals/41364_MANUAL_GB_V1.pdf) says there are 13 channels. The V2 manual (http://www.highlite.nl/nl/silver.download/Documents@extern@Manuals/41364_MANUAL_GB_V2.pdf) speaks of 12 channels (both in advanced mode). I can't figure out if it's an updated version of the manual or the fixture itself is updated

In the updated version they have moved the selection of a dimmer curve to its own channel (channel 12). The functions previously on channel 12 are moved to channel 13.
