Cuety & LPU / Re: How to copy (duplicate) the fixture in the patch?
« Last post by Julien Levaufre on March 06, 2024, 05:02:35 PM »
well if you do not have the fixture file it will be a bit complicated.
The most straight forward solution is to use our VBuilder software to recreate the file for your missing fixture.

The tricky way of doing it, is to patch some random fixtures in Cuety only taking care that they have the same number of DMX channels than teh one you want to use.
Then go into options and save your show in a file.
Now trasnfert this file on. a computer where you will open it with a text editor.
Look for the "fictures" section where you will see one line for each fixture you patched. Copy the personality part of the good fixtures and replace it in the new fixtures you have just patched.
You can also change their name.
Save your file and put it back in the cuety folder.
Now start Cuety and open the file.

to complement the answer from Guido, if you want your buttons to be disabled after one minute, you can use a timer.
-to use a timer you need 3 steps
1-set the timer time:
it is better to do that when the B-station starts, using a "system" action list and the "on startup" trigger
2- start the timer;
for each action you have in the "button" actionlist add a timer task that will restart the timer
3- set what to do when timer stops
Create a "timer" actionlist and create an action where the trigger will be "channel" "number of the timer you are using" and "stop" as trigger flanck.
In this action add an "actionlist" task that will disble the "button" action list.

Thank you very much Andy ESL for sharing your show files.

Thank you JBultman for sharing this important information about sending OSC messages from Q-sys.
In worst case you can also use UDP messages from Q-sys, this is quite easier to set up.

You will be able to find most of the your answer in the CueCore3 or KIOSC manual,
You can download them from our website: www.visualproductions.nl/downloads

I am sorry but this option is not available in our products.
With the show control you can detect when the programmer stops receiving DMX, Art-Net or sACN and trigger an action.
This action can start a playback to be sure that the light do not turn black,  but will not be able to keep playing the last frame.

Glad to know that it working fine.
Enjoy  ;)

Kiosc / Re: Send a command to a group of addresses
« Last post by Julien Levaufre on March 06, 2024, 04:31:02 PM »
KIOSC is limited to 16 target per protocol, so you can make a group of products controlled via UDP and a group controlled via OSC, that would make a total of 32 fixtures.
If you use TCP messages you can set the IP address of the target in the Kiosc editor to have one button sending the message to one specific IP.

Kiosc / Re: PJLink

PJlink is based on TCP messages, so you can send them from the KIOSC.
The only thing you need to do is to remove the identification on the projector.
