VisualDMX installed in De Doelen concert hall
The De Doelen in Rotterdam (NL) underwent a major refurbishment this year. De Doelen was last reconstructed after the end of Second World War as part of the rebuild of this important Dutch city and incorporates 4 individual concert halls that also double as a “state of the art” congress venue making it the largest of its kind in the Netherlands. The lighting design for the 2009 refurbishment was undertaken by the design team at ARUP headed by Rogier van der Heide with Siegrid Siderius. In particular the Grote Zaal’s (Large Hall) renovation included a brand new lighting rig and control system.
VisualDMX software lighting control from Visual Productions has been selected for controlling the house lights, stage lighting and LED fixtures throughout the Grote Zaal. Key to this installation was the use of VisualTouch to allow stage staff to operate the lights in a user-friendly fashion, letting them choose from various predefined presets, whilst the house technicians can still access a more detailed set of controls.
The control system uses two Duple units connected to a small form factor PC running VisualDMX 24/7. Two separate touch screen computers run the VisualTouch software for remote controlling VisualDMX via the network.
The VisualDMX system was supplied by Visual Productions’ dealer, Controllux Lichttechniek.

New German Distributor: LMP Lichttechnik
1st December 2009 sees the launch of the German distribution partnership between LMP and Visual Productions.
Initially focusing on the Cuelux software lighting controller, LMP Product Manager Olli Winkler says; “We are glad to have Cuelux in our product portfolio. Cuelux is a well fitting complement in the field of professional lighting control systems.”
LMP Lichttechnik was founded in 1980 and has grown to be one of the most successful distributors for the entertainment business in Germany. LMP adds Visual Productions to its portfolio of professional products, for which they have exclusive distribution on the German market, including Robe and LITECRAFT.
With staff training and stock already in place at LMP, Visual Productions feels that this partnership is situated well to support the German market sales of their products. ASL: new distributor for Switzerland
We are pleased to announce the appointment of our new distributor for Switzerland, ASL Electronic AG. Based in Basel the company has a 27 year long history working with many of the major brands as exclusive distributer working in German, French and Italian language areas of Switzerland.
During the recent PLASA show we were fortunate enough to be introduced to CEO David Scherz and his Sales Director, Sébastien Wira. They were at the show researching replacements for the Martin range of software lighting controllers.
Wira found the ”versatility of Cuelux being made cross platform a very interesting contender” and with the ”addition of VisualDMX and the stand alone units the Visual Productions range satisfies our customers demands”.

Workshop in Groningen (NL)
Lighting sales and rental company Lichtpunt is organizing a workshop on VisualDMX, Canvix and Cuelux in the Dutch city of Groningen.
The workshop will cover programming and using of the Visual Productions line of lighting controllers. Because of the increasing demand of lighting controllers for the fixed installation market, especially when LEDs are involved, the sessions will focus on seting up VisualDMX together with VisualTouch to create user friendly touch screen user interfaces to control these kind of projects.
The opportunity will also be provided to learn more about the Canvix LED pixel-mapper and Cuelux, the new entry-level lighting controller for Mac & PC.

Visual Productions at BPM 2009
Visual Productions is pleased to announce that it will exhibiting at Europe’s biggest event dedicated to DJs, producers and performers; the BPM 2009 tradeshow in the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, UK.
